Divergent Leadership Training Phase 1
Starting with ourselves
In WORTHY, we start with ourselves and explore the foundations of the Embodied Wonderment Method (EWM).
We start with ourselves because we cannot take others to where we have not been. And strategies alone do not produce healing experiences.
Straight-up- In WORTHY, you’ll work on your own shit, so that you can more skillfully show up for others.

6 week program with weekly lectures (2 hours) and experiential labs (2 hour).
Through a combination of story time lectures, experiential exercises, and group discussions we will move through the following workshop topics:
-
Lecture part 1- We will set the group container together, through introductions, sharing of access needs (personal and group) and honouring the land we are with. You'll be introduced to the process of integration and how it relates to the theme of this module-WORTHY.
Lecture part 2- Through storytelling, you will be introduced to the concept of Compassionate Presence: offering our presence first, learning to really listen, and attuning to whomever we are wanting to be present for.
LAB part 1 - You'll identify a BEHAVIOUR or habit that is challenging for you to directly apply the WORTHY teachings to.
LAB part 2- You'll be guided through an experiential exercise of compassionate presence where you'll get to experience first hand what compassionate presence means to you.
-
Lecture- You'll be introduced to key concepts for developing the skillset necessary to access open and boundaried relationships between ourselves (as practitioners) and those we aim to help.
Lab- You'll be led through an exploratory practice to experience for yourself what it means to 'Operate from the heart".
-
Lecture- Through storytelling, you will be introduced to the key roles curiosity, awe, and wonder play in building resources for navigating challenging experiences.
Lab- You'll be guided through an experiential exercise to explore the various areas of your life where you can foster curiosity, gather resources, and cultivate resilience.
-
Lecture- You'll learn the basics of the nervous system to help you create space for loving-kindness and compassion. You'll be invited to shift your focus from "what’s wrong” to a clear analysis of "what's happening", without judgement.
Lab- You will be introduced to GLIMMER HUNTING - the practice that helps you shift from judgement to curiousity.
-
Lecture- You'll be introduced to on-the-spot tools for navigating the intense discomfort of life stressors such as trauma, persistent pain, substance misuse, and mental health challenges.
Lab- You'll be guided through the Inner Tea Date, our unique practice for working with intense discomfort, whether emotional, physical and/or spiritual.
-
Lecture- We'll plan for how you will apply the lessons of WORTHY out in the world.
Lab- You will have time to review everything you have learned in this module with other cohort members.
Closing the container, we return to our initial intentions, integrate the lessons of WORTHY, and preview the next module of The Embodied Wonderment Method: KIND.

“The experience was wonderful in and of itself
but the inclusivity of the space, speaking to varying needs and human rights really spoke to me as both a participant and a facilitator myself in other spaces. It’s allowed me to speak to my needs even more as well as make space for the varying needs of others. Thank you!!!”

“Our souls innately know our worth - Bringing my human body to WORTHY was just the reminder I needed!
Meeting weekly provided a community of like-minded AND very unique Beings - which became a real highlight, boosting my happiness hormones! The mix of science & spirit opens-up new discussions and opportunities to move forward/heal ... Addressing the nervous system and practicing integration throughout this module has been transformational and continues to help along my journey living with chronic physical health symptoms and dissociation. All of me is welcome; WORTHY.“
