OWNING OUR PROJECTIONS
In this first part of the third module of the EMBODIED WONDERMENT METHOD™, we learn how to recognize and directly work with the projections that arise in the process of integration.
In this module we ask the question: What does it mean to be an Honest facilitator? This is the part of the path where we become acquainted with projections and the stories we are making up about the moment. Learn a potent practice to work with projections called Body Speech and Mind (BSM). This transformative practice, developed by Chogyum Trungpa Rimpoche for Naropa University Contemplative Psychology students, gives you a greater capacity to recognize and own your projections as well as to recognize the energies at play with much more precision and depth.
MODULE Details:
HONEST is composed of an 8-week, virtual program with one 2-hour class and one 1-hour integration call each week. Through a combination of talks, experiential exercises, and group discussions we will move through the following workshop topics:
Week 1: Grounding and integrating KIND—setting a physical and energetic container for HONEST; commitment to HONESTY. Evoking the buddha families as allies.
Week 2: Ritual of Embodied Speech—introduction to the practice of BSM; creation of buddy system for integration continuity.
Week 3: Honest Body—Body in relationship with the 4 Invitations of Integration and working with projections. Developing an embodied vocabulary for how projections manifests in our bodies so that we may recognize it more skillfully in others.
Week 4: Honest Speech—Speech in relationship with the 4 Invitations of Integration and working with projections. Developing an embodied vocabulary for how projections manifests in our speech so that we may recognize it more skillfully in others.
Week 5: Honest Mind—Mind in relationship with the 4 Invitations of Integration and working with projections. Developing an embodied vocabulary for how projections manifests in our minds so that we may recognize it more skillfully in others.
Week 6: Honest Container—Defining an HONEST container; introduction to the 4 Bones in Space.
Week 7: Honest Container continued—putting it into practice
Week 8: Integrating HONEST including sacred ceremony.
Next On-line Cohort Begins: April 23rd, 2024
Total Duration: 8 weekly two-hour lecture sessions, for a total of 16 hours plus 8 weekly, 1-hour experiential lab sessions.
Platform: Zoom
Assignments: Simply showing up and participating in class as fully as possible for you is more than enough. Estimated time length of additional, 100% optional homework: 30 seconds to 10 minutes, repeated as often as you need to feel complete.
