how do I show up skillfully for myself and others?

  • The number one skill to help people work through challenging times is showing up AUTHENTICALLY as yourself. NO BULLSHIT.

This is because AUTHENTICITY gives us PERMISSION. When we show up authentically, we give others permission to do the same. And in a world full of stigma, there is no greater gift than feeling safe to be ourselves.

At SCHOOL OF REVERENCE, we recognize that showing up authentically takes training! We model showing up as our TRUE, HONEST selves, full of HEART so that you learn - and feel inspired - to do the same.

  • Integration helps us come back to a state of AUTHENTICITY through physical, emotional, and spiritual HEALING.

When we COMPASSIONATELY INTEGRATE our life experiences we increase our capacity to be AUTHENTIC, even during TURBULENT times.

At School of Reverence, we offer a compassion-centered approach to integration so that ALL of your life experiences become a resource for RESILIENCE.

  • When we are judgemental about our life experiences it's difficult to SKILFULLY integrate them. Curiosity "jump starts" integration because it dissolves judgement and expands our capacity to explore, compassionately.

At SCHOOL OF REVERENCE, our compassion-centered approach strengthens our curiosity muscles as we return to our authentic selves.

    • Be yourself and show up authentically, no BULLSHIT.

    • Work on integrating all aspects of yourself - mind, body, and spirit - to heal and find your true self again.

    • Stay curious and open-minded about different experiences, it will help you become even more authentic.

We believe that WHAT IS KEY in showing up skillfully for ourselves and others (and ultimately cause less harm) is COMPASSIONATE INTEGRATION through AUTHENTIC FACILITATION.

  • If you don’t know what integration is, you’re not alone. Even those that consider themselves experts in the field have a difficult time defining the process of integration. That’s because, when we are speaking about integrating our life experiences, whether mystical or mundane, there are so many depths and layers to consider. Any life experience could include physical, emotional, and mystical aspects all in one.

To be playful, we could think of integration as the Tetris game of our lives. It is the process of getting all the pieces of experience to fit together somehow so that our lives can feel more clear, healthy and whole.

  • Let’s make this clear: integration is very important. Especially when we want to skillfully show up for ourselves and others. Here’s why: one of the key roles that integration plays is bringing our nervous system back to a healthy and resilient state.

An unhealthy and under-resourced nervous system has low capacity for challenging times, and times they are challenging! This low capacity can result in substance misuse, persistent pain and mental distress. When we build our integration skills, we build our resilience for turbulent times in a long-lasting way. That feels important.

  • “You must master all of 4 elements.” -Avatar: the Last Airbender

Kidding. Not kidding. To really understand all of the depths and layers of integration, we must also understand all the depths and layers of our humanness. This means that we must train in opening up to and staying with the full landscape of our human experiences. Both the seen (science) and the unseen (sacred). This reuniting of science and sacred is what’s missing in most programs and trainings out there. Lucky for you, it is what we are all about!

Our integration methodology, the embodied wonderment method, is a compassion centered approach, grounded in integration practices that weave together elements of science, ritual, community, nature, and playfulness.

start with yourself

  • It's REALLY IMPORTANT for us to start with OURSELVES for SO MANY REASONS!

One big reason is that we all DESERVE safer, kinder, and more honest healing spaces where we can truly FEEL like we BELONG.

By RECOGNIZING and OWNING up to how we REACT to challenging situations, we can LEARN to more skillfully RESPOND to others with CURIOSITY, KINDNESS, and AUTHENTICITY when they're going through hard times.

    So let’s DO THIS!

Let's WORK on OURSELVES so we can be there for OTHERS in the BEST possible WAY!

  • Starting with ourselves (working on our own issues) is CYCLICAL in nature.

Nothing is fully "figured out" and never seen again.

As stated by Pema Chodron, "we come together and fall apart again" repeatedly throughout our lives.

The key is to have the ability to INTEGRATE moments of falling apart, so that we can come back together each time a little WISER and more RESILIENT.

This is the approach taken at School of Reverence.

We learn to integrate our own cyclical experiences, using the WISDOM gained to build RESILIENCE for challenging times.

It is from this place of WISDOM that we can then SKILLFULLY support others who are going through difficult times.

  • TAKING OWNERSHIP OF OUR OWN ISSUES AIN’T EASY, AND PRACTICING SELF-CARE ISN'T THE WHOLE PICTURE.

That's why having support from our community is key. Here at the School of Reverence, we show up skillfully by encouraging you to confront the uncomfortable and challenging aspects of yourself within a compassionate, trauma-informed, intersectionality-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming environment.

  • We want to make sure that wherever you start feels accessible and supportive. Whether that is starting with private sessions or group programs, we would love to connect with you to discuss your capacity and needs.

  • In the group Facilitator Training Program, we begin by focusing on ourselves with the help of a supportive cohort.

Similar to the process of embracing all aspects of ourselves, this training is cyclical and experiential in nature. Learn more about our facilitator training program here.

  • For those who may FEEL overwhelmed, intimidated, or just not interested in group settings, as a NEURODIVERGENT community, we FEEL you.

We provide private coaching sessions that offer the same skill set as our group programs, in a more intimate setting.

If/when you feel called to ENGAGE with the community, there is an option to join WEEKLY group calls ALONGSIDE our PRIVATE coaching sessions.

Let’s co-create a SPACE and PACE that FEELS NOURISHING for you.
